Just-In-Time is a management strategy in which parts or components arrive as they are necessary for manufacture. It can also describe delivering products directly to point of sale as soon as they are produced. In either case, the primary goal is to reduce cost and eliminate the need to maintain a warehouse where these parts would otherwise be intermittently stored. This strategy makes production more vulnerable to disruptions in supply chain or labor.
